Dear Lovers of Drama and Disappointment,
Well, folks, we did it! We made it through a staggering 28 episodes of Love is in the Air, which clocks us in at a whopping 70 hours of TV. That’s nearly three full days of our lives we won’t get back. What a ride.
When we launched this podcast to recap this “highly-recommended” show, we were fueled by excitement and the best of intentions. However, we quickly realized that the main love story just wasn't hitting the mark for us. We couldn’t root for the couple that was meant to sweep us off our feet. Instead of romantic sparks, we found ourselves waiting for the plot twists that never came—will Kaan return? Will the Hot Stalker Prince morph into a chilling Joe Goldberg from You doppelganger? Alas, none of that materialized.
Our recaps soon turned from earnest enthusiasm to what we can only describe as hate-watching. While there's a certain charm to dissecting every flaw in a plot gone awry, it soon became clear: it wasn’t fun for us anymore. The hours spent watching, recording, and recapping began to feel more like a chore than a choice. So, it's with a mix of relief and resignation that we're officially throwing in the towel on Love is in the Air.
But fear not! This is not the end of our podcast! We’re simply turning the page. We’re already obsessed with a new show, available on Netflix. Stay tuned for our next post where we'll unveil our new obsession!
In our grand finale of Love is in the Air, we’ve taken a slightly different approach. Thanks to the heroic efforts of an incredible online recapper, Ginger Monette, who bravely binged and summarized the remaining episodes, we’re discussing their highlights. (She also writes regency romance novels and you better believe we are snatching up every one of them.) Major shoutout to Ginger for truly taking one for the team—whew!
